Menus

When creating a menu for your center you must follow these meal patterns. The potions are based on the age of the children being served.

Lemons Inc. also provides a monthly menu template that you can follow.  You can find our monthly menu below.

Breakfast

Breakfasts in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) include milk, vegetables and/or fruits, and grains. You can also serve meats and/or meat alternates instead of grains at breakfast up to 3 times per week. This option gives you more choices for menu planning.  During Breakfast 3 of 5 compontents must be served.

Lunch or Dinner

The CACFP lunch and dinner meal patterns requires all five food components to be offered: milk, meat/meat alternates, vegetables, fruits, and grains.

Snack

Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP)  requires that 2 of the 5 components be served for snack. Include milk, vegetables and/or fruits, and grains.

Meal Pattern and Component Requirement
